Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Plan
SHE Plan & Guidelines
1. Purpose
This Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Plan outlines the safety, health, and environmental practices to be followed at construction sites by Karuj Ushaa Engineers Industries Private Limited.
The purpose of this plan is to ensure that all construction activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner, protecting employees, contractors, equipment, and the surrounding environment from hazards and risks associated with construction work.
2. Scope
This SHE Plan covers various high-risk activities and operations that may be carried out at construction sites. It defines the procedures and control measures that will be implemented to:
- Minimize the risk of accidents and injuries
- Prevent occupational illness
- Promote safe working practices
- Protect the environment
- Prevent pollution caused by construction activities
All employees, supervisors, contractors, and visitors at the construction site must comply with the safety procedures described in this plan.
3. General Safety Rules
- Safety meetings and training programs will be arranged before commencement of work.
- All machinery, tools, and equipment must be inspected and approved by the safety department.
- Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory for all tasks.
- Consult the Site In-Charge or Safety Department in case of any procedural clarity lack.
- Be aware of the location of fire extinguishers and first aid boxes.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited within the project or factory premises.
- Reporting to work under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
- Experienced safety stewards will be appointed to supervise worksite protection.
- Company representatives must obtain necessary work permits before starting daily work.
- Work beyond normal hours requires explicit permission from the authority.
- Stay calm and follow authorized instructions during an emergency.
- Throwing objects or creating unnecessary noise is prohibited.
- Maintain good housekeeping at all times at the worksite.
- Report unsafe conditions or acts immediately to the Site In-Charge.
- No work should begin without obtaining the required work permit.
- Store diesel and flammable materials in designated, secure areas.
